Martin didn’t create #tru (that was Bill Boorman) but has been the current host of #truManchester since event number 2, #truLeeds also since event number 2 and held the first #truBySea back in 2020.
All events are low-cost and focus on bringing people from across the recruitment and talent acquisition sector together.
Whilst the timings have changed, the still follow the core principles of #tru:

This is not a conference. Tru is an unconference. An unconventional meeting of minds and innovations for the talent and recruitment community.
There are no speakers, badges or presentations.
Instead, we have tracks (facilitated discussions) and track leaders, who we have invited to initiate and lead a 30-minute discussion around a topic they have expertise or a serious interest in.
Anyone can contribute to the tracks, offer an opinion, ask questions, tell a story or even direct the conversation to a brand-new topic.
